"Orthoceras fossil egg" is a bit of a misnomer. Orthoceras are extinct cephalopods, which are mollusk relatives similar to squid, octopus, and nautilus. They lived from the Ordovician to the Triassic period, 200 to 500 million years ago. Their fossils are commonly found in Morocco and are cut and polished into egg shapes.

Each Fossil Specimen comes with a 3-1/2" X 2" information card and is barcoded. Member of Discount Group 12.
